Die weltweit führende Streamingplattform lässt sich ab sofort wieder direkt in Serato, Rekordbox und Djay Pro nutzen. Damit können DJs ihre Spotify-Bibliothek inklusive Playlists und Favoriten direkt ins Programm einbinden – ein Feature, das viele Einsteiger seit Jahren vermisst haben.

Technische Neuerungen

  • Integration in Serato, Rekordbox und Djay Pro – direkter Zugriff auf die komplette Spotify-Bibliothek
  • Einfache Nutzung – Login mit Spotify Premium genügt, Playlists und Favoriten erscheinen sofort in der Software
  • Kuratierte Playlists – fertige Sets für den schnellen Einstieg
  • Nur mit Premium-Account – Free-Accounts sind nicht nutzbar

Vor allem für Anfänger und Hobby-DJs ist diese Integration ein großer Schritt: Playlisten lassen sich ohne Umwege oder Drittanbieter sofort nutzen.

Wichtige rechtliche Einschränkungen

So attraktiv die Integration klingt – DJs müssen sich bewusst sein, dass die Nutzungsbedingungen von Spotify die Verwendung im öffentlichen oder kommerziellen Kontext ausschließen:

  • Spotify darf nur privat genutzt werden – nicht in Clubs, Bars, Restaurants oder bei kommerziellen Events
  • Öffentliche Wiedergabe erfordert gesonderte Lizenzen (z. B. über GEMA in Deutschland) oder speziell lizenzierte Dienste
  • Streamingdienste wie Beatport, Beatsource, Tidal oder SoundCloud Go+ sind für den öffentlichen DJ-Einsatz deutlich geeigneter, da deren Lizenzmodelle auf den professionellen Bereich zugeschnitten sind

BVD-Fazit für die DJ-Community

Die Rückkehr von Spotify in DJ-Software ist ein wichtiger Schritt für Einsteiger und Bedroom-DJs. Wer jedoch öffentlich auflegt, sollte die Finger davon lassen – rechtlich ist dies mit einem Standard-Spotify-Account nicht zulässig. Für professionelle Einsätze bleiben Dienste wie Tidal, Beatport oder Beatsource die bessere Wahl.

DJ-Meeting Berlin – Kleine Runde, große Wirkung

Am 14. September 2025 fand das Berliner DJ-Meeting des Berufsverbands Discjockey e. V. (BVD e. V.) statt. Zwölf DJs aus der Hauptstadt und dem Umland folgten der Einladung – eine noch kleine, aber engagierte Community, die in Zukunft weiter wachsen soll. Denn: Erst seit Anfang des Jahres gibt es mit mir wieder einen Regionalrepräsentanten für Berlin, und damit beginnt eine neue Phase für den Verband in der Hauptstadt. Ziel ist es, die Berliner DJ-Szene wieder stärker zu vernetzen, Wissen zu teilen und den BVD e. V. als festen Ansprechpartner für professionelle DJs sichtbar zu machen.

Ape Labs – Innovation aus der Praxis

Den Auftakt machte die Firma Ape Labs, die mit ihrem kompakten und smart steuerbaren Licht-Equipment seit Jahren zu den Favoriten vieler mobiler DJs gehört. Der Vertreter von Ape Labs stellte nicht nur die neuesten Produkte und Funktionen vor, sondern nahm sich auch viel Zeit für praxisnahe Fragen: Wie lässt sich Lichtdesign effizient in den Auf- und Abbau integrieren? Welche Akkulaufzeiten sind realistisch im Alltag? Und wie kann man mit den neuen ILS- und Bluetooth-Funktionen verschiedene Geräte noch einfacher steuern?

Der direkte Austausch zwischen Hersteller und DJs war ein echter Mehrwert – viele Teilnehmende nahmen konkrete Tipps mit, die sich sofort in ihren nächsten Events umsetzen lassen.

Miss Parhelion – Faszination Silent Party

Im zweiten Programmpunkt drehte sich alles um ein innovatives Konzept, das besonders in Großstädten immer mehr an Bedeutung gewinnt: die Silent Party. DJane Miss Parhelion, die sich auf Open-Air-Events mit Kopfhörersystemen spezialisiert hat, präsentierte ihre Technik und erklärte, wie ein solches Setup funktioniert.

Nach einer kurzen Einführung hieß es dann: Kopfhörer auf und selbst erleben! Über mehrere Kanäle konnten die Teilnehmer gleichzeitig unterschiedliche Musikrichtungen hören – ein spannendes Erlebnis, das zeigte, wie man Partys auch in lärmsensiblen Umgebungen realisieren kann. Gerade für mobile DJs in Metropolen wie Berlin ist dieses Konzept eine wertvolle Möglichkeit, flexibel zu bleiben und neue Veranstaltungsformate anzubieten.

Social Media – Personal Branding für DJs

Im Anschluss übernahm Social-Media-Expertin Stella Heiß das Wort. Ihr Thema: die „Dos and Don’ts für DJs im Social-Media-Bereich“. Sie zeigte anhand konkreter Beispiele, wie DJs ihre Online-Präsenz gezielt aufbauen und authentisch pflegen können.

Gemeinsam wurden einige Instagram-Profile aus der Runde analysiert – selbstverständlich mit Einverständnis der Beteiligten. Dabei ging es nicht nur um Bildästhetik, sondern auch um Storytelling, Hashtags, Zielgruppenverständnis und vor allem um die Positionierung als Marke. Stella erklärte, wie man durch konsistente Inhalte, Persönlichkeit und Mehrwert langfristig Vertrauen aufbaut und damit auch Kundenanfragen über Social Media generiert.

Viele Teilnehmer gaben an, dass sie aus diesem Teil des Meetings den größten Aha-Effekt mitgenommen haben – und das zeigte sich auch in den Wochen danach: Mehrere DJs haben ihre Profile überarbeitet, posten nun regelmäßig und berichten von wachsender Reichweite. Eine DJane schaffte es sogar, mit einem Reel viral zu gehen – inklusive neuer Follower und Buchungsanfragen.

Austausch, Vernetzung und Ausblick

Nach den inhaltlichen Programmpunkten blieb reichlich Zeit zum Netzwerken. Bei Snacks und Getränken tauschten sich die DJs über Technik, Preise, Kundenkommunikation und Marketing aus. Es entstanden neue Kontakte, Ideen für Kooperationen und die klare Motivation, das Netzwerk in Berlin weiter auszubauen.

Das nächste DJ-Meeting Berlin ist bereits in Planung und soll voraussichtlich im Dezember stattfinden – mit neuen spannenden Gästen, Fachthemen und praxisnahen Impulsen für die DJ-Community der Hauptstadt.

Der CDJ-3000X bietet durch seinen Zugang zu Cloud-Speichern und Musik-Streaming-Diensten noch mehr Verbindungsmöglichkeiten und offenbart damit eine Flexibilität, die den vielfältigen Anforderungen heutiger DJs gerecht wird. Dank integrierten Wi-Fi® ist die Verbindung mit dem Internet auch ohne LAN-Kabel möglich, was die Einrichtung in jeder Umgebung vereinfacht. Das flüssigere, intuitivere Browsing auf dem neuen hochauflösenden kapazitiven 10,1-Zoll-Touchscreen, ist ein echter Genuss. Die Übersicht und Bedienbarkeit werden dadurch ebenfalls optimiert. Das Jog-Wheel verfügt über einen größeren Bereich zur Einstellung des Widerstands und eröffnet dadurch ein deutlich präziseres Steuerverhalten. Die DJ Awards sind die traditionsreichste Feier der globalen elektronischen Musikkultur. Mit dem Start des öffentlichen Votings am Donnerstag, den 21. August, werden nun die genrespezifischen Kategorien sowie die Nominierten der Ausgabe 2025 vorgestellt.

Die 1998 gegründeten DJ Awards kehrten 2024 nach einer vierjährigen Pause triumphal nach Ibiza zurück. Sie sind stolz darauf, eine unabhängige Plattform zu sein, die nicht nach dem „Pay-to-Play“-Prinzip funktioniert, sondern Talent ausschließlich nach Leistung anerkennt und feiert. Im Gegensatz zu einigen populären Umfragen werden die Nominierungen der DJ Awards von einer vollständig unabhängigen Jury aus Branchenexperten und -insidern präsentiert, die aus über 50 führenden Musikmarken und -unternehmen stammen. So wird gewährleistet, dass die Vielfalt der Genres und Subgenres der DJ-Kultur authentisch und umfassend in der Dance-Szene repräsentiert wird.

Nach dem erfolgreichen Relaunch im vergangenen Jahr haben sich die DJ Awards schnell wieder als ein wichtiger Bestandteil des internationalen Dance-Kalenders etabliert. Die genrespezifischen Gewinner 2024 waren unter anderem Black Coffee (Afro), Sam Divine (House), Armin van Buuren (Trance), CamelPhat (Progressive House), Chase & Status (D&B), Fisher (International DJ), WhoMadeWho (Organic House) sowie Luciano, der den Ibiza Icon Award erhielt.

Die Ausgabe 2025 baut auf diesem Momentum auf und bietet eine breite Auswahl an Kategorien, die Genres, geografische Regionen und den Einfluss innerhalb der Branche abdecken. Zudem gibt es ein neues Commitment: In jeder Genre-Kategorie sollen künftig mindestens zwei weibliche Künstlerinnen nominiert werden.

Ganz neu in diesem Jahr ist die Kategorie Balearic, die für den typischen Sound Ibizas steht und DJs ehrt, die die genreübergreifende, sonnengetränkte Energie verkörpern, die mit dem musikalischen Geist der „White Isle“ verbunden ist. Ebenfalls neu hinzugekommen ist die Kategorie Hard Dance/Bounce, die in den letzten 12 Monaten ein starkes Revival erlebt hat. Diese Ergänzungen unterstreichen erneut den Anspruch der DJ Awards, wichtige Subkulturen innerhalb der elektronischen Szene zu würdigen.

Neben Balearic umfassen die diesjährigen Kategorien unter anderem: Afro, Breakthrough, Drum & Bass, Garage/Bassline, Hard Dance/Bounce, Hard Techno, House, International DJ, Latin/Reggaeton, Live Act, Newcomer, Prog/Melodic, Tech House, Techno und Trance. Die vollständige Liste der Nominierten ist unten aufgeführt.

Wie immer zeichnen die DJ Awards auch eine Reihe von Industry und Special Recognition Awards aus, die von einer Fachjury vorgeschlagen werden, bevor die Gewinner im Vorfeld der Preisverleihung bekannt gegeben werden. Dazu gehören unter anderemTrack of the Summer, Party of the Summer, Icon Award, Lifetime Achievement, Eye On: MENA, DJ Livestream of the Year und der Play It Back – Social Impact Award.
